We’re getting married!

It all started with ‘I do’. Seriously, we met at Kevin’s cousins wedding. Katie went with a friend to her family friend’s wedding on July 21, 2018. We met as the lights were turning on and all the cool kids were hopping on the party bus to continue the fun. Jim Kelly (shoutout!-Jim is a life long family friend to the Wards) saw Kevin and I talking and thought we really hit it off. He told Kevin to get on the bus and continue the celebration. The group danced the whole night and we realized we had a lot in common. Fast forward a week and we are going on our first date! We got Jeni’s ice cream and walked along the lakeshore around North Ave. Beach.

On a warm spring evening we went for a walk along the lakefront where we strolled just a couple years ago for the first time together. We took a moment to look at the beautiful city we live in and next thing you know, Kevin is getting down on one knee! He asked Katie to marry him and she said ‘YES!’. We Facetimed our parents and little did we know our siblings were on the beach (in wigs!) taking photos of us we’ll be able to treasure forever. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
