We met during a season of becoming. Brooke was applying to graduate programs and preparing for a new chapter. Taylor was focused on work and building a steady foundation for his future. What started as a simple match on an app quickly became something more intentional. From the beginning, there was a sense of ease. Conversations came naturally (although Taylor tries to disagree). Values aligned. What stood out most wasn’t grand gestures, but consistency. The showing up, keeping promises, and choosing each other in small, daily ways. Somewhere between busy schedules and quiet evenings, we realized this wasn’t just timing. It was partnership. As our relationship deepened, so did our commitment to supporting one another’s dreams. Taylor stood beside Brooke as she embarked on her doctoral journey, encouraging her through coursework and long nights of writing. Brooke encouraged Taylor to pursue what truly fulfilled him, pushing him to step into firefighting and continue his education. We have never simply cheered from the sidelines; we have challenged each other to grow. A little over a year into our relationship, we experienced one of life’s hardest moments, the loss of Taylor’s dad, Ray. It was a season that changed us. In grief, we learned what it meant to truly carry one another. We leaned on faith, family, and each other. That season deepened our understanding of commitment, not just in joy, but in hardship. Through every milestone, career shifts, graduate degrees, celebrations, and losses, one thing has remained constant: we choose each other. Taylor’s steady presence grounds Brooke’s big vision. Brooke’s heart and determination complement Taylor’s loyalty and quiet strength. Together, we are building a marriage rooted in faith, commitment, and family.

When Taylor proposed, it marked the beginning of our next chapter, not just planning a wedding, but intentionally building a life together. As we began planning, one thing became clear: our story stretches across more than one place. Minnesota holds deep family roots and meaningful memories. Texas is where we built our life together and where so many of our friends and the community surround us. Rather than choosing between them, we chose to celebrate in both locations. Our Minnesota ceremony will be an intimate weekend rooted in tradition and family. Our Texas celebration will be a joyful open house honoring the community that has shaped us. Two celebrations, one commitment to each other, and celebrations with the people who have walked alongside us. We are so grateful you are part of our story.
