The path from Machine Shop to Stone Arch Bridge and across to downtown Minneapolis used to be Leo's daily morning walk. The view from the bridge of the city can't be beat plus you get an up close and personal view of the dam and river system that birthed the start of Minneapolis!
Any of the lakes are worth a visit but Lake Harriet (we live 1/2 blocks away!), Bde Maka Ska, Lake of the Isles, and Nokomis are our personal faves. Harriet, Maka Ska & Isles are all connected by great walking paths with terrific dog watching :)
One of our favorite local cafes for a Latte, London Fog or croissant (almost as good as Paris) Fantastic menu - Sarah loves making their sandwich options vegetarian with their delicious black bean burger substitute. They also have a bed & breakfast above the restaurant and one half of the husband + wife ownership (the wife) hand makes and curates candles, scents, kitchen goods, etc. - definitely worth a stop.
Where we had our first date! Good beer and they have their own menu (pizza, cheese plate, etc.) with a great view of the Mississippi + Brandon's old stomping grounds, Vesi.
Best espresso martinis and a terrific menu - especially for some late night bites. You wont regret the pizza by the slice!
Brandon's favorite bar for the BEST buffalo wings. The secret is to get the wing basket, and ask for double baked ;)
Graze is the quintessential North Loop food hall with a wide selection to choose from. Additionally the coffee shop, The Last Drop, has sneaky good seasonal coffee flights.
Home of the Original “Jucy Lucy” - and that highly debated Minneapolis topic is not up for debate at this wedding ;) A birthday lunch tradition for us and whenever when need a good old cash dive bar with cold Grainbelts.
