We met in what some may call an unconventional way—we swiped right on Tinder! Caleb was down in Boulder attending CU Boulder while I was in Fort Collins attending CSU. Before the school year started, we decided to give this a try and 5.5 years later, we have moved three times, have 4 wonderful animals, and purchased a home together. Lets celebrate this crazy thing we call life and be thankful for every day we have together. Let's get married!
Our journey together has had its ups and downs. We have laughed, loved, and lost ones that we love. Throughout our relationship, we have always loved to take pictures together and Caleb took advantage of that. He came down and snuck into my apartment (with the help of my landlords), set up beautiful lights and a path of candles and on the lights were photographs highlighting different adventures we have been on together. Playing in the background was one of my favorite songs, "Mean to Me" by Brett Eldredge. Along with the photos were these words, "be my valentine" and when I turned the corner, Caleb was on one knee and lit up, "and be my wife." The next thing he says, "please don't cry (happy tears!). I need to get through this." I honestly could not have imagined a more amazing proposal than this. The cherry on top, a homemade meal. Could he be any more amazing?!
