Louie and Brynn met while she was working as a server and bartender at his favorite bar, O'Toole's, in Grand Rapids. While Louie and his friends were frequenters at Toolies, it may have taken Brynn one or two or five times to finally give Louie her number. Brynn always appreciated his kindness, humor, and big tips and decided she probably owed him a first date. And Louie really liked that she always brought him his favorite drink, a gin and soda with a splash of cranberry. They had a great first date and continued exploring the beautiful city of Grand Rapids together. Luckily, Louie was persistent and their love story was able to flourish to where it is today - getting married!!

As all of you know, by the time Brynn and Louie met, Brynn already had a plus one - a big, orange boy named Rigatoni. Luckily this did not deter Louie, and he became not just the step dad, but the dad who stepped up. With Rigi being hesitant of this new, tall person with big, loud feet, Louie was able to win him over with his patience, love, and a whole lot of treats. Now the two are best buds and we recently added a new addition to the family, a crazy, gray kitten named Beau!

Louie and Brynn got engaged in June of 2025 during a vacation with Brynn's family in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. They had a beautiful Airbnb that had a gorgeous view of the mountains outside. Louie knew that the most important things to her was that her mom, dad, and sister were present and that it was an intimate moment - and he accomplished just that. When Louie got down on one knee, Brynn was so extremely surprised and overwhelmed with complete happiness. The answer was, of course, yes, leading you to reading this story on our wedding website!
