We met during the first week of our junior year of college when our professor made the class do icebreakers. Jaxon came up and introduced himself because he thought I was pretty… though unfortunately for him, I didn’t remember meeting him at all. Luckily, he gave it another shot. A week later, he somehow remembered my name and asked if he could get to know me—and for some reason, I said yes. After a few dates, it didn’t take long for us to realize something special was happening. We fell for each other quickly, and before long, we were inseparable. Not long after we started dating, Jaxon left for a five-month fire season in Montana. Being that far apart wasn’t easy, but the distance only made us realize how much we meant to each other—and that this was something we wanted forever. When he came home from Montana, everything fell right back into place as no time had passed at all. We picked up right where we left off, and in December, Jaxon asked me to marry him, and of course, I couldn’t say no.
