FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive at 4:30pm, as the ceremony will start promptly at 5:00pm. Guest parking is available on-site at the venue.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is semi-formal. For men, this means a suit or slacks and a button-up shirt. For women, this means a cocktail-length or longer dresses, slacks/skirt and a blouse, or a nice jumpsuit. Our wedding colors are pinks, oranges, & blues but any (non-white) colors–especially bright summer colors–are perfect! We will have an outdoor ceremony and indoor/outdoor reception. Fans will be provided, but please plan accordingly for your comfort.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We would love to celebrate with everyone, however, to keep our ceremony and reception intimate, we are only able to accommodate the guests specifically named on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! There is plenty of guest parking available on-site at the venue, only a few steps away from the ceremony and reception.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Anyone is welcome to join us the night before the wedding at Tupps Brewery in McKinney on Wednesday, June 3rd, for a casual welcome party. We will plan to be at Tupps from -6-9pm, but feel free to come early or stay late! No RSVP required. No dress code. Wear something comfortable for hanging out at a brewery, but cute enough to take group pictures with friends and family to celebrate together before the big day! Tupps serves beer, wine, and seltzers with burgers, sandwiches, and shareable apps. Tupps is walking distance to historic downtown McKinney, which has tons of food, drink, and boutique shopping options! – https://tuppsbrewery.com/taproom-tours/

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

To allow all guests a night of relaxation, we have chosen to make our wedding an adults-only (18 and older) celebration. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

Can I take pictures and videos throughout the day?

Answer

We want everyone to be as engaged and present in the moment as possible. To help with that, we will have professional photographers and videographers capturing the events of the day, and a photo booth all night, so we kindly ask that everyone keeps their phones and cameras silent and put away during the ceremony. We will share all photos after the event!

Question

When can I post pictures on social media?

Answer

Please help us be the first to share our special day! We kindly ask that you allow the bride and groom to be the first to post photos of our ceremony and any couples portraits announcing our marriage. Thank you!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Since the vast majority of our guests are local to DFW/Texas, we do not have a block of rooms or any particular accommodations reserved. Feel free to coordinate with other guests on where they plan to stay!

Question

Will there be a wedding send-off at the end of the night?

Answer

We will have a wedding send-off at the end of the night, but we understand that it's a weeknight wedding and many guests have work the next morning so we respect if you need to leave early. We're so grateful that you chose to celebrate with us and, if you do leave early, Irish Goodbyes are highly encouraged! Feel free to send us a text the next day so we know you had fun and got home safe!
