Brynlee was a sophomore and Colby was a junior in high school when their story began. Tyler, Colby’s friend (and now one of his groomsmen), took a picture of Brynlee sitting across from him and sent it to Colby on Snapchat. Colby replied, “Dang, you’ve got cute girls in your class.” Tyler asked if he wanted Brynlee’s Snapchat, and of course Colby said yes. Once Tyler finally sent it, Colby added Brynlee and they started snapping each other all the time. After talking all weekend, they made a plan to meet up in the hallway at school and walk together to class. Colby walked Brynlee to her Human Growth class, and she was so excited. But when she got to class, the nerves hit — she got so dizzy and lightheaded that she had to call her mom to pick her up from school (lol). After that, Brynlee would go sit in Colby’s car most mornings before school just to see him. Their first real hangout was when Colby came to one of Brynlee’s basketball games. After the game, Brynlee went home with him and they stopped at McDonald’s — where she ordered a Happy Meal. When they got to his house, Brynlee met his mom, dad, and family for the first time. She sat at the dinner table eating her Happy Meal while his parents sat with them and talked. Just three weeks later, Colby asked Brynlee to be his girlfriend at the four-way stop by her house while he was dropping her off. But once she got inside, Brynlee started second-guessing herself and wondering if that really meant they were officially dating. So she texted Colby to ask if they were actually boyfriend and girlfriend now. Who would have thought the sophomore and junior from high school would end up here? And now, they’re getting married and starting the rest of their lives together.
