One warm July evening in 2022, fate (and Serene) brought Robert Belle from Belleville and Bryn Gibson from Bellevue together as hired muscle for our dear friend's cross-town move in Missoula. Amid hauling boxes and angling a bed through doorways, we stumbled upon a conversation that would prove life-altering: which sandwich at Tagliare (our favorite local deli) reigns supreme? This simple question sparked a quest to eat our way through the entire menu—a mission that spanned nearly a year of dating, countless sandwiches, and a few highly debated rankings. In the end, we found something even better than the perfect sandwich. Tagliare remains a favorite spot of ours not just for the food, but for the memory of the best decision we ever made: each other.

In November, Robert and Bryn got engaged during a memorable trip to New Orleans, where they immersed themselves in the city's food, craft cocktails, and vibrant culture. In the enchanting Bayou, Rob dropped to one knee, marking the moment as the start of our “lifelong celebration,” as he puts it.
