We technically first met in middle school he was in 7th grade, and I was in 8th. Back then, he would always text me asking what I would rate him on a scale of 1–10, and I always told him a 9. (He was never very happy that I wouldn’t give him a 10!) He even used to ask if I would ever date him, and my answer was always no. After middle school, we lost touch for a while. Then in 2022, I ran into him at Maverik in Thayne, and the second I saw him, I thought he was so cute and even cuter now that he was older. As soon as I got back in the car, I told my grandma all about how I knew him from middle school and spent the next few minutes trying to work up the courage to add him on Snapchat. I was so nervous, but I finally did and from that moment on, we started getting to know each other all over again. He was persistent from the start and asked me out more times than I can count before I finally said yes. Then on November 6, 2022, we hung out for the first time, and from that night on, we’ve been inseparable. Before long, I was at his house every day, and it quickly became clear that what started as a middle school friendship had turned into something so much bigger. The boy I once said “no” to in middle school ended up becoming the love of my life, my best friend, and the person I can’t wait to spend forever with. 🤍
