We’re getting married

Once upon a time in a land far far away there were two wandering souls just waiting to find each other. In the land of Sonoma County there was a young woman named Jenn who was blissfully going through life not looking, but always hoping to one day meet a man she could share life with. On one summer afternoon while at a bbq, a few close friends decided they wanted to lend a helping hand in making this happen and created an online profile on behalf of her. She never intended to utilize the profile and certainly NEVER expected anything to come of it. In the neighboring land of Napa County a young man named Bryce was taking advantage of his youth and enjoying life, living by the philosophy, “work hard, play hard.” While he casually dated, he hadn’t met anyone he felt he could build a kingdom with. One day while scrolling through all eligible bachelorettes he came across a girl named Jenn and decided to send her a message. As the weeks turned into months of conversing there was undeniably a connection. We decided it was time to finally meet in person to see if in fact one another were real and not fictitious creatures of the land. We agreed to meet up at Brewsters, a half-way point between our two worlds and also checking off her box of being very public…just in case. We both were filled with excitement and butterflies the moments leading up to first laying eyes on one another. As she crossed the street to come face to face with her suitor her nerves got the best of her and she quite literally tripped on the curb and fell into his arms. The rest of the evening was charming and it was without a doubt that we were smitten with one another from that moment on. Ever since then she has continued to fall even more in love with the man he has grown to be each day, while he discovers his unlimited capacity for love, patience and desire to be with her. And so the story goes…

Fast forward 4 years later and the love story continues. It was a beautiful dewy Thursday and we wanted to spend some quality family time together with Taylor, Bryce's sister, who was staying with us for the Christmas holiday. The plan was to take a long overdo trip to Bodega Bay Head and get a dose of the salty sea air take a few pictures and afterwards grab a bite to eat. In preparation of leaving Bryce seemed to be a bit anxious and I assumed it was due in part to me taking my sweet time to get ready. Once on the road we took in the backroad sites and even made a pit stop to visit with baby lambs. When we finally reached our destination it was overcast, but so beautiful and we made our way to the lookout point. Bryce then asked Taylor to take a picture of us and as I turned to him all of a sudden I see him down on one knee. I instantly became overwhelmed with joy and while still in a bit of shock I of course said absolutely yes! In the midst of all my emotions I do remember being enthralled by the gorgeous ring Bryce had presented to me...he did good ya'll!! Taylor then with her backpack of goodies unveiled glasses, a bottle of champagne, and a customized engagement ornament that Bryce had all preplanned. In hind site it made so much sense why he had been acting a bit off. It was such a special moment and I am so thankful that Taylor was able to play such an instrumental part in the process. After having a glass of champagne and a mini photo session (thanks Tay) we then made our way to have lunch in Petaluma at Brewsters, which was so appropriate considering it was really where the story all began. That evening Bryce even had made dinner reservation at Farmstead. That day was so simply beautiful in so many ways.
