Being from small towns only a few miles apart, Bryce and Heather knew of each other during high school through similar friend groups and sports before they officially met. However, the night that started their story was a chilly January night in 2017 at one of Bryce's basketball games in Ewing. Heather went to the game with a friend - not intending on meeting her future husband - and Bryce got distracted by the unfamiliar girl in the stands and was hooked instantly. After the game, Bryce and his buddies were chatting in the parking lot when Heather walked to her pickup. Bryce tried swooning her with a whistle; she ignored the kind gentleman and kept walking. A couple days later, Bryce couldn't get the blondie out of his head and the two began chatting on social media. Slowly the two got to know each other and Bryce decided to make their relationship official. Heather declined. They continued talking almost daily, growing closer together with similar interests and Bryce swung again for a relationship. Strike two, Heather declined again. Finally, after talking to each other for a couple months, they hung out in person, drove around, chatted, laughed, and grew even closer together. Later that week, Bryce tried his luck one last time. Heather finally gave in to his charm in July 2017, right before Bryce headed off to college and Heather headed in to her senior year. Soon they became inseparable, spending many weekends together doing homework, hanging out with friends and family, goofing off more times than not, going on countless Bomgaars dates and ice cream runs, and watched each other grow into young adults. They've been through a lot together already, including late nights, early mornings, a pandemic, natural disasters, adding a puppy to their little family, and buying a house. Fast forward 2,376 days to November 22, 2023 when Bryce surprised Heather at their home with the proposal that would begin their forever.
