Wedding Party

Chakorn & Marilyn

Parents of the Bride

A product of the OG Tinder, these two met through a personal ad in the Seattle Weekly. They share a love of travel, design, and the finer things in life like opera and good food and wine. Fun fact- they're a part of a friend group who's hosted monthly themed dinners for over 30 years. They live in Shoreline, WA with the apple of their eye, Alfie, a mini poodle.

Trent & Susie

Parents of the Groom

Two standout graduates from the famed Palmdale High School, when these two aren’t hard at work you can catch them with a 21 up their sleeves in Laughlin or kicking their feet up by the pool in the summer. Despite shuttling back and forth between Redondo Beach and Seattle, they always find a way to catch a Vikings game with the family or a quick bite at Speedy Joes. In the twilight of their careers, these two are on the brink of retirement and endless adventures to come.

Ashley Almon

Matron of Honor

Ashley and Ava's friendship began back in 9th grade at Seattle Academy's high school orientation in 2002, they immediately connected and had so much to talk about! Sisters from the beginning. Since then, they have remained close, even some of those years included being miles apart. Through the years they have celebrated many milestones together and supported each other along the way. Some favorite memories include summer rock concerts, traveling to Europe together to Spain and Amsterdam, workout and coffee dates, weddings, and long phone chats! Ashley is thrilled to be by Ava's side as she marries Bryce, her best friend!

Andres Holguin-Flores

Best Man

Bryce and I met in chemistry class after our teacher moved me to the seat in front of Bryce because I talked too much. Needless to say, I kept talking and I honestly think we’ve been best friends since. We share a love for many things, especially hip-hop. We still duet everything from 50 Cent to Frank Sinatra. Our bond grew even stronger at UC Santa Barbara where we were roommates, co-workers, study partners, and eventually Bryce was my boss! We solidified our brotherhood; our bond has grown stronger. Bryce is amazing: he uplifts me when I am at my lowest, and is my biggest cheerer when I succeed. I am privileged to celebrate Bryce’s and Ava’s love; Ava became an instant friend the moment we met. I cannot think of a better thing to happen to two amazing people. Ava, welcome to the family!

Ali Stevens

Bridesmaid

Ava and I met when a mutual friend introduced us as roommates during graduate school at the University of Michigan. Prior to becoming roomies, I (of course) stalked her on social media and thought she seemed so cool — I was kind of intimidated! But we immediately clicked, relating on so many levels and bonding over our mutual love for James Franco, Chvrches, The Mindy Project, tea, and more. Little did we know that in addition to being great roommates, we would become best friends and form such a long-lasting friendship, despite now living thousands of miles apart. We call ourselves soul sisters and always said we hoped to someday find boys we connect with just as much. I’m so glad she has found that with Bryce and am honored to stand by my soul sister as she marries such a wonderful guy.

Andrew Phisuthikul

Groomsman

I have known Ava literally my entire life. Growing up together, she was always a great role model and friend. I met Bryce shortly after they started dating and I have never seen her happier. Since then I have enjoyed not only seeing them both grow as a wonderful couple, but also enjoyed countless: hikes, happy hours, movie nights and other adventures. I am honored and thrilled to have Bryce as part of the family.

Chika Uchendu

Bridesmaid

Ava and I first met in 2015, shortly after I moved to Seattle. We both attended a University of Michigan alumni hike (Go Blue!) and conversation sparked up at the end of the trail. Soon after, we connected again for dinner at Cedars in University District, and the rest was history! From then on, we’ve shared so many more dinners, birthdays, events, and wonderful memories together over the course of our friendship. I’m honored to be sharing in this special moment to celebrate an amazing friend and a beautiful couple. Congratulations, Bryce and Ava! I can’t wait to see you continue your journey together.

Eric Rogers

Groomsman

Bryce and I met our freshman year at UCSB. Throughout freshman year, over countless beer pong games, Bryce and his raucous crew (including Andres) became very good friends with my own respective motley crew. Bryce and I were next door neighbors throughout the rest of college, and upon graduation, ultimately decided we loved Santa Barbara too much to leave and became not just neighbors, but roommates. Once Bryce moved to Seattle, I frequently visited him and we found our own “spot” to become regulars at, which is a series of stories for another time. Bryce and I share a love for philosophical musings, good food, bad food, any food, and watching our football teams provide hope only to crush it. I am thrilled that Bryce and Ava have found each other and think they are the perfect couple.

Hope Hagert

Bridesmaid

I met Ava in 2016 while working together at URI. We quickly connected over our work there and it wasn't long before we were friends outside of it. We've since shared plenty of fun dinner dates, celebrations, a camping trip, and bonded over our love of EDM music. Ava is someone I deeply respect and admire, both professionally and personally. She's an all-around amazing human and the most loyal, kind, and considerate friend. I feel so honored to get to share in Ava & Bryce's big day and am so excited for this next chapter of theirs!

Bryan Boozari

Groomsman

My friendship with Bryce dates back to sophomore year of high school. I have to thank a close friend, Andres, for introducing Bryce and I. It is rare to meet someone who you immediately click with and thankfully I found that with Bryce. Andres, Bryce, and myself spent the remainder of our time in high school bonding over our many interests which include skateboarding, soccer, and playing video games (usually because it was over 100 degrees outside in Palmdale). Thankfully our friendship continued to grow after high school. We attended different colleges but i have many fond memories of visiting Bryce at UCSB. I am thankful to have Bryce as a friend, and honored to be a part of Ava and Bryce's wedding. I wish them many happy years to come.

Jerriann Sullivan

Bridesmaid

Ava and Jerriann met in Chicago in the summer of 2010. Ava was working at Northwestern University, and Jerriann was working for The Chicago Tribune. Her boss at the newspaper helped her find a cute apartment in the Lake View part of the city, and she was lucky enough to find Ava already subletting a room there, too. The two become friends fast and bonded over cooking shows, live music, and their quests to always be their best selves. When Jerriann moved to Seattle in 2016, she was beyond thrilled that Ava had moved back to the city! The friends reconnected and it felt like no time had passed. Like everyone, Jerriann loved Bryce and knew Ava had met her partner. "I am elated for the happy couple and honored to be part of the celebration!"

Kyle Herman

Groomsman

It’s been a blessing growing up with my cousin Bryce. Our relationship has always been a close one even as we have moved farther apart from one another in more recent years. The distance from Seattle to Nashville can’t separate the brotherly bond we’ve made over the years. Bryce has always been a motivating force in my life, whether it was sports, education or just life in general, I’ve always admired and continue to look up to my cousin. I’m so excited to be apart of Bryce and Ava’s special day and so happy he found a woman as amazing as Ava to spend the rest of his life with. Cheers you two!

Terry Kirkwood

Officiant

Ava and I met at a professional workshop I taught back in 2016 and we quickly developed a mentor + protégé relationship. Over the next year, we met periodically to discuss strategies for her professional growth and development as well as my passion for teaching. Soon after, I met Bryce and the three of us became great friends and we got together often for dinner, drinks and great conversation. I’ve come to know Ava as passionate, dedicated and hardworking and Bryce as charming, delightful and grounded. I am so proud to have them as friends and I’m honored to share in their big day. And I wish them all the best in their new life together.
