How We Met

11.14.2015

Most of you probably know this, but Bryce and I both love to dance, so it’s no surprise that we found each other out on the dance floor at a wedding. We danced the night away, exchanged numbers and went on our first date a few days later. Considering I was moving to Boston in a little over a month, I really wasn't taking this date all too seriously. However, it was pretty apparent to me after the first 10 minutes that this wasn't just any other guy. Bryce and I still debate to this day who reached for who's hand first, but either way, we left the restaurant hand in hand and proceeded to see each other nearly everyday up until the day that I left. Bryce made a total of 4 different trips out to Boston over the next year and a half where we made memories trying lobster rolls in snowy Portland Maine, strolling through Central Park and seeing all New York has to offer, and watching the Seahawks take down the Pats in New England. All in all, we've had so many amazing memories and are so blessed in so many ways, but even still, we know the best is yet to come!

The Proposal

6.1.2019

Angela loves surprises! So what better surprise would there be, than the perfect proposal. 6 months prior to the proposal I had sat down with her maid and matron of honor to create this elaborate plan. I had already decided where and when I wanted to ask her, but the real issue was how to surprise her. That's when the dynamic duo of Sarah and Elizabeth came up with the idea to throw a fake Bridal Shower for Sarah (who was getting married in just a few months). Between work and being Miss Popular, we all know Angela rarely has an open weekend. So in order for her to commit to June 1st, we sent out a fake bridal shower invitation. As June 1st crept closer & closer, the girls convinced Angela to take an early morning hike the day of the "shower" and of course Angela agreed. The plan was officially a go. June 1st was finally here. My nephew Brevik and I woke up and began the hike to Snow Lake. After about an hour and a half hike up, we finally got to the look out, and it couldn't have been a more perfect day. After another 2 hours of waiting for the girls to arrive, the time was finally here. That's when I saw Angela come around the corner, looking beautiful as ever, and I started playing our favorite song. As she approached, my heart was pounding -- I am about to propose to the girl of my dreams. As she climbed up the look out, with tears in her eyes, I grabbed her by the hand, got down on one knee and proposed.
