Bryce and Amy met in North Carolina while Amy was working at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the beginning of 2015. They had been chatting for a while, and Amy mentioned that it was her birthday but that she didn't have any plans or anyone to spend it with. This was not all right in Bryce's book and he insisted he would take her out that night because- "no one should be alone on their birthday!" The moment Amy saw Bryce waiting for her in the restaurant she immediately knew that she was in trouble when it came to this good looking guy and she was right! They hit it off immediately, talking over wonderful food until the restaurant closed down around them. Now, five years later, that first date has turned into many subsequent dates, a cross country move, shared trips, school graduations, countless adventures, and a house shared with 3 adorable pets!
Bryce and Amy had been talking about getting married for a little while. When the topic of engagement came up, Bryce and Amy agreed that it felt a bit old fashioned that the proposal should all be on Bryce's shoulders. So, to start their engagement off on a fair and equal note, Bryce and Amy decided they would propose to each other. Amy ordered Bryce a custom made ring that was inlaid with crushed up meteorite and Bryce asked Amy's dad for Grandma Ferguson's ring. Bryce picked the time and place, the Arboretum in Moscow, ID on July 27th, 2020 (because he knew Amy still liked to be A LITTLE surprised). And underneath an old willow tree, on a bridge over a quiet stream Bryce...and Amy, proposed to each other.
