Chloe, now the Director of Training and Development at ACE Pickleball, is traveling all the way from Atlanta, GA, to celebrate this special occasion with us. She’s a lover of music, books, travel, and video games, and her bubbly personality and sharp sense of humor light up every room she enters. Fun Fact: Chloe and Ally both worked at Walt Disney World during the same time!
Korey Mertz

Bryce and Korey first met in 2014 as locker neighbors in high school, quickly bonding over their shared goofiness and love for a good time. Over the years, their friendship has only grown stronger. Korey works as a product manager at his family business in Rockford. He has a passion for traveling, golf, and making the most out of life. Fun fact: Korey is fluent in German.
Anthony Busse

Bryce and Anthony first met in their junior year math class in 2014, all thanks to a calculator request from Bryce. They instantly vibed, sharing endless laughs and bonding over their mutual love for watching horror movies. Anthony works as a die designer at his family’s company, Rockford Toolcraft. He has been married to his wife, Kirstin, for over two years, and in October 2024, they welcomed their beautiful daughter, Amelia. Known for his energetic and fun-loving personality, Anthony brings joy wherever he goes. Fun fact: Bryce and Anthony both love listening to German heavy metal music.
AnneMarie Zeilinski

AnneMarie and Ally became besties ever since Ally returned to Illinois in 2022. They first met while working at a medical spa and instantly bonded over their shared love of Disney, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen movies, and iconic early 2000s hits. AnneMarie, a true Southsider from Oak Lawn, is now a Manager at Tavern on Rush in the city and a proud dog mom to her French bulldog, Venelope. She’s known for her caring nature, bold personality, and incredible creativity. Fun Fact: AnneMarie once worked for Disney, helping guests blast off to space on the iconic Space Mountain!
Turner Meyers

Turner is Bryce’s younger brother. Though they’re quite different in many ways, they’ve always bonded over their shared love of TV shows, Legos, and video games. Turner works as an accountant in the mushroom industry and has been living in sunny San Diego for the past year and a half. A lifelong lover of the arts, he grew up performing in musicals and playing the clarinet in his school band. With his quick wit, great sense of humor, he’s always keeping those around him entertained. Fun fact: Turner once played both Elvis and Jesus in two separate high school productions!
Lisa Ortiz

Lisa and Ally first connected in 2022 through a young adults community group at Harvest Bible Chapel. Their friendship quickly deepened after going on two mission trips to Spain together, where they shared unforgettable experiences. Bonded by their mutual love of coffee, shopping, and living for the aesthetic, Lisa and Ally became fast friends. Lisa, a paralegal in the city, will be fresh off her fourth mission trip to Spain just in time to celebrate the wedding. She’s known for her kind heart, great sense of humor, and incredible generosity. Fun Fact: Lisa and Ally actually attended the same church as kids but had no idea until recently!
David Hernandez

If the last name didn’t give it away, David is Ally’s younger brother—and their story goes all the way back to May 11, 1999 to be exact. Growing up in Jefferson Park on the Northwest side of the city, they shared the classic sibling dynamic filled with playful rivalry that often required mom and dad to step in as referees. Despite the occasional fights, Ally and David always found time to make each other laugh, and over the years, their bond has grown stronger. David is currently a student at IIT, studying Computer Engineering and has been happily married to his wife, Jocelyn, for two years. Known for his intelligence, quick wit, and charming personality, David is truly Mr. Loveable. Fun Fact: David knows how to play the saxophone!
Abi Garcia

Abi and Ally’s friendship began in 2022, thanks to a mutual friend from church who introduced them. Since then, they’ve become inseparable travel buddies, sharing two unforgettable trips to Spain together. They bond over their shared love for travel, Jesus, and Formula One. Abi, originally from Florida, has called Round Lake, IL home for the past six years and works as a graphic designer and marketer. Known for her nurturing spirit and thoughtfulness, Abi always puts others first. Fun Fact: Abi is a passionate pickleball player with a killer serve—just ask Bryce and Ally
Brandon Hayes

Bryce and Brandon met through their marketing fraternity and quickly became best friends. Their shared love of sports, video games, and movies has kept their bond strong over the years. Brandon spends his summers working alongside Bryce in landscaping and his winters building houses. He’s known for being kind, caring, and easy to talk to, someone you can always count on. Fun fact: Out of all his friends, Bryce has traveled the most with Brandon.
Jocelyn Mondragon-Hernandez

Jocelyn is Ally’s sister-in-law, officially joining the family in 2023, Jocelyn and Ally have grown closer since then, bonding over workout classes, makeup, and (playfully) making fun of David. Originally from Bridgeport on the South Side, Jocelyn is a Mechanical Engineer and truly a jack of all trades. With her sweet and gentle spirit, she has a knack for making everyone feel at ease. Fun Fact: Jocelyn lived in Los Angeles, CA, for three years before returning to Chicago!
Lucas Serrato

Lucas is Bryce’s longest-running friend, having met all the way back in 5th grade. Growing up, they spent countless hours playing video games, watching sports, and watching scary movies. Lucas is on his gubernatorial quest to bring justice for all in Illinois, working at a nonprofit dedicated to making a difference. Though he’s on the quieter side, if you listen closely, you’ll catch some of the best one-liners around. Fun fact: Lucas still holds onto hope that one day, the Chicago Bears will be good… We pray for him.
Jess Gutierrez

Jess and Ally first met in 2022 through a young adults community group at Harvest Bible Chapel. Jess, also from Round Lake, is a part-time nanny, youth group leader, and a dedicated volunteer at her church. Known for her infectious laugh and thoughtful, intentional heart, Jess brings joy to everyone around her. Fun Fact: Jess and Abi are cousins, and Jess and Ally both attended school in Grand Rapids, MI, at the same time!
Christopher Lebron

Bryce and Chris met at NIU and have been great friends ever since. They love spending time together, whether it’s working out or just hanging out and enjoying each other’s company. Chris lives in Hyde Park but is originally from Kissimmee, Florida. He works at Sprout Social as a Social Media Advisor. Fun fact: Hazel is not only a professional DJ but also a talented dancer!
Tyler Gray

Bryce and Tyler met a few years ago through their mutual friend Brandon. They quickly discovered they both share a love for working out and lifting heavy circles. They also enjoy going on yearly trips to Tennessee with other friends. Tyler is from Rockford and works for Weber Grill. Fun Fact: Tyler recently went on a trip to Guatemala where he hiked a volcano!
