What should I wear?

Answer

Formal attire requested. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear suits, and ladies should wear floor length, pale blue dresses.

Which airport should we fly into?

Answer

There are several airport options when traveling to the Portland area: Portland International Jetport (PWM) is the closest airport to the wedding events and typically the most convenient option. Fares can sometimes be slightly higher due to the smaller size of the airport. Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) is another option and is about a two-hour drive from Portland. If you prefer not to rent a car, Concord Coach Lines operates frequent and reliable bus service between Boston and Portland that we often use ourselves. Portsmouth International Airport (PSM) is also nearby and Allegiant Airlines operates low-cost flights into this airport from select cities.

Where should we stay?

Answer

Portland, Maine offers the best selection of hotels, restaurants, and things to do during your stay. June is peak summer season in Maine, so hotel prices and availability can reflect that. We recommend booking accommodations early.

How do we get to the Inn?

Our ceremony will take place on Chebeague Island, and there are two ways to reach the island. Option 1 – Chebeague Island Ferry (Recommended) https://www.ctcferry.org/the-ferry The easiest and most efficient option is to drive to Cumberland, Maine and take the Chebeague Island Ferry. Once you arrive on the island, the drop-off point is only a 5–10 minute walk to the Inn where the ceremony will be held. A sprinter van shuttle will also be available if you prefer not to walk. Option 2 – Casco Bay Lines Ferry https://www.cascobaylines.com You may also take Casco Bay Lines from the Portland waterfront to Chebeague Island. This ferry ride is just over an hour long and stops at several islands along the way. It also arrives on the opposite side of the island, so please plan to take the sprinter van shuttle to reach the Inn.
