Randy found me on a dating app linked to Facebook. We flirted, but didn't do much else because neither one of us wanted to pay for the app. Probably a week later I got a message on Facebook asking me if I minded if we talked there because he didn't want to pay for the app. I didn't either! We talked for about 2 weeks and he asked me to meet him at a bar that I hated 3 times before I finally suggested dinner. Our first date went well, we went to game night at a friend's house and we've been together ever since.
We've been dating since February 18, 2010. We had discussed marriage and our relationship and decided that things were good as they were, so why change a good thing? During our 2014 Christmas vacation to Savannah to visit Randy's daughter Calliegh, her great grandmother, who we love dearly and call GG, put us on the spot and told us that we had been together long enough, and while we didn't have to get married, it was time we got engaged so she didn't have to introduce me as his "friend". We discussed it and decided that being engaged was fine, so on Christmas Day 2014, we updated our Facebook relationship status to engaged.
