Our story definitely had a few false starts! Let's take it back to October 2015: Princy's cousin Christina asked her to go to her friend Aimee's party with her...there was a guy she wanted to introduce her to. Princy went to said party, and Christina pointed out the guy, but due to certain circumstances, Princy never met the guy...well, that day anyway :-P. Fast forward to October 2017: Princy and Bryant both try their hand at dating through an app called Coffee Meets Bagel. They match, but Bryant's going away to watch a car race. He tells Princy to add him on Snapchat and sends her pictures and videos of cars. TBH, all Princy can identify about cars at that point is a color and PERHAPS a make and model...but the guy is cute and funny, so she responds in what she hopes is interesting responses. Two weeks later, the text stream fizzles out, but due to the persistence of one of them (we'll let you decide who because we don't agree about who was the elusive one), they finally meet up for lunch in Yonkers and bonded over Cuban food. Princy figured out a few dates in that the guy Christina wanted to set her up with was Aimee's cousin, Bryant...but she only told Bryant that story a few months later...and he still claims he was stalked ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

What started out as a typical Saturday turned out to be anything but. Bryant had told Princy that it was his friend's 30th birthday, and it was going to be at this nice restaurant on the river in Newburgh. Alas, it was all a ruse, because somehow without Princy knowing it, Bryant managed to fly his brother in from out of the country, have his friend take her out to get her nails done, have her sister find her the PERFECT outfit, and, propose on top of Bear Mountain, with both of their immediate families present. AND he planned an after-party at the place they almost met at in 2015. So it came full circle :)

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our wedding was a much different affair than the one we initially planned, but beautiful nonetheless. Thank you to those who made that day special for us, whether you were able to be present in person or sent us blessings from away. Thank you all for your love and prayers over the past year. We wanted an opportunity to celebrate with all of our loved ones, so we are hosting the formal reception for our wedding this year. We would be so honored to have you there to celebrate with us.
