It all began in 2009 on the steps of KD, LeLe’s dorm at Xavier University of Louisiana. That’s where Bryant and LeLe first crossed paths, unaware that destiny had quietly taken its seat between them. They would continue to enjoy college and even shared their first dance was at Xavier’s neophyte / a Greek party, a moment filled with rhythm and possibility. Though life carried them in different directions, their friendship remained steady. With LeLe’s mother living in Seattle the two often reconnected during holidays. In 2015, fate intervened again. While LeLe was visiting her mother, on the very day of Bryant’s 24th birthday, their story took a new turn. They shared their first kiss, in Cal Anderson Park, setting the tone for a love that would always feel safe and familiar. Unsure of what to make of their first romantic encounter, Bryant moved to New York to pursue a career in fashion and LeLe went back to Omaha to finish dental school. Just like clock work LeLe returned to Seattle to visit her mom the summer of 2016, and thats when their love story began. Their first official date was at Din Tai Fung, a delicious dinner that tasted like the start of forever. Not long after, Bryant was the first to say, “I love you,” and those words built the foundation of everything that came next. For three years, Bryant and LeLe nurtured their love through long distance, proving that time zones and miles could never separate what God has joined together. In 2019, their journey came full circle when they moved in together in New Orleans—the very city where their story first began. The energy of the city gave them joy and purpose while the family they built around them became a shelter that protected their love. As an ode to the place that cultivated their love, Bryant and LeLe chose to celebrate their union with a small, intimate wedding ceremony in New Orleans’ City Park. Surrounded by love and history, they honored the roots of their journey before stepping into a new chapter together in Seattle, WA. Together, they’ve discovered what love looks like in motion: hiking trails, catching flights, eating their way around the world, shooting hoops, and laughing their way through every adventure. For them, love isn’t just about the grand gestures—it’s in the rhythm of travel, the teamwork, and the quiet strength of standing side by side.
