Krystal and Bryant informally met at Dulles High School when Krystal was a freshman and Bryant was a junior. However, very few words were exchanged during their time in high school as Bryant was focused on his basketball career (not worried about little ol’ freshman Krystal) and Krystal was acclimating to a new school. At that time, the two would have never imagined what would come in the following 10 years. The two did not formally speak again until a gathering during July of 2016 (although Bryant claims there was a mild reconnection/ exchange of words at a probate in spring of 2015, but Krystal has no recollection of that exchange). The two were inseparable for the remainder of that summer until Bryant returned to play basketball overseas in early fall. Krystal and Bryant fought tirelessly for their international relationship as it was extremely difficult. Late nights on the phone due to time zone differences and months without seeing each other became the norm for the two. There were several times the two felt like completely giving up, but God had other plans. Exactly 3 years from Bryant and Krystal’s “reconnection”, Bryant decided to ask Krystal to do life with him for the rest of their lives. And Krystal accepted!!! Although it wasn’t a smooth or easy journey for the two to get to marriage, it makes for a great testimony of faith and perserverance as the relationship has forced the two to grow and mature into the man and woman God has called them to be for His glory.
