Yes absolutely! This is your vacation too, however due to venue limitations, we ask that we celebrate the wedding as adults only. Thank you for understanding.
We will be updating this website periodically with what we planning on doing for the day. We have also made a private WhatsApp group to keep everyone in the know of where we are. No pressure to join us if you want to explore the island on your own....just make sure to show up for the wedding lol.
We kindly ask that guests dress in elegant cocktail or dressy evening attire for our celebration. For women: Cocktail dresses, jumpsuits, or dressy separates are all welcome. Please note that the bridesmaids will be wearing coral, if that helps guide your color choice. For men: We recommend suits or dress pants with a button-down or collared shirt. The groom and groomsmen will be wearing beige suits. As a gentle reminder, we ask that guests refrain from wearing flip-flops, cargo pants, or overly casual attire.
Yes. The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico is a territory of the United States. Puerto Ricans are American citizens, federal laws as well as local laws apply, and services such as U.S. Postal Service are here.
Fly into Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) in San Juan—it’s the main hub and only about a 10-minute drive from our wedding venue at La Concha Resort.
No passports are needed for US citizens.
US travelers don’t need an international or special cellphone plan when traveling to Puerto Rico because the 4G LTE network works with the majority of mainland service providers. You’ll also find Wi-Fi available at many hotels around the island.
Yes—Puerto Rico follows the same entry rules as the mainland U.S. If you need a visa to enter the U.S., you’ll need one for Puerto Rico too.
The official languages of Puerto Rico are Spanish and English. Only about 20% of Puerto Ricans speak English fluently, although many people working in the service and tourism industries are bilingual, particularly in San Juan.
Puerto Rico is in the Atlantic Standard Time Zone, which is an hour ahead of Eastern Standard Time. Since Puerto Rico does not observe Daylight Savings Time, from March through September the time on the island is the same as Eastern Standard Time.
The weather in Puerto Rico in February is typically warm, sunny, and very pleasant Here’s what you can usually expect: Average daytime highs: 83–85°F (28–29°C) Average nighttime lows: 72–74°F (22–23°C) Humidity: Moderate to high, but usually with a refreshing ocean breeze Rain: February is part of the dry season, so rain is minimal—just the occasional brief shower Ocean temperature: Around 78–80°F (great for swimming!)
If you want to explore sites and towns outside of the San Juan metro area, or if you'll be staying in more than one town during your visit (for example a few days in San Juan and then a few days in Rincón), then renting a car is a good idea. If you plan on staying around San Juan, an Uber will be just fine. We recommend using Ubers vs the local taxis (more cost effective).
Yes, credit and debit cards are widely accepted throughout Puerto Rico, especially in hotels, restaurants, and larger shops. Visa and Mastercard are the most commonly accepted, though many places also take American Express. It’s a good idea to carry a bit of cash for small vendors, street food, or more rural areas where card readers may not be available.
