Bryan and Shawn met on Bumble (Shawn made the first move)! Bryan planned their first date and then had to reschedule when Shawn got sick. But, his patience paid off and they had their first date over Tacos and Margaritas (Shawn’s favorite!) at Clavel in January 2020. Over the next month they had a few dates including Shawn joining Bryan and his friends for Karaoke (Shawn still won’t sing!) and Trivia. They were introduced to each other’s friends and family through virtual hangouts and backyard get togethers during the Covid lockdown. They were so lucky to have found each other at the exact moment they did.

Bryan had a work trip in San Francisco and Shawn decided to join along. Shawn planned a weekend in Napa and little did she know that Bryan had his own surprise up his sleeve. They went on a winery tour and it was pouring (everyone they met along the way shared that it never rained in Napa, but Shawn and Bryan didn’t mind a little drop of rain). At the second winery, when they had the entire winery to themselves, Bryan asked Shawn to go for a walk. After having to convince her that it wasn’t raining, they went to tour the vineyard. Bryan found a secluded spot, got down on a knee and asked Shawn to marry him. Of course she said yes! **Funny story -after Bryan proposed, Shawn and Bryan couldn’t remember which finger the ring went on and walked back inside with it on Shawn’s right finger. Thankfully the vineyard owner walked over and reminded Shawn to put the ring on the other hand and then gave her the history as to why. It made for a very funny (and typical Shawn) story! Shawn and Bryan went on to celebrate at the last winery where there was a classic corvette parked inside the winery so of course it was a sign!
