A unique underground coffee shop known for pop-up improv. Coffee and frozen drinks, plus snacks and treats.
If you walk downtown Greenville, do NOT miss this suspension bridge. The view is beautiful over the river, and it is great for photo ops on and off the bridge.
This is a trail that covers a large area of Greenville all the way to Traveler's Rest (walk it or rent bikes!)
Co-op grocery and a cute venue for coffee, not directly in downtown. Bryan and I stop here for a treat before biking the trail to Travelers Rest (not a far drive from Greenville, where there are taco bars, ice cream cafes, and delicious breakfast crepes)
If you need a little more nature. There is a short but lovely walk around the lake here and it is an easy drive from downtown.
The zoo is small and cute. Littles will enjoy it but there is a park with playground just below the zoo that is also great.
Bryan and I enjoy the Trappe door for some Belgian fare but mostly it has a great cellar environment and good drink choices.
Great bookstore with coffee/wine options inside. They do special events such as blind date with a book or book pairings. Authors are often at these events. Bryan and I have done two book/wine pairings here and always enjoy it. Check the events for the days you are in town.
This is between Main Street and the Swamp Rabbit Trail. Soooo many great things to say about this location. Open grassy spaces for kids, good brewery, axe throwing, White Duck Tacos, a meadery, and Keipi a delicious Georgian (the country, not state) restaurant. Great for kids and adults alike!
