We met in May of 2008 in a digital media class. We had a mutual friend, who asked me out on a lunch date and brought Bryan as a wing man. I wore sweatpants and talked at length about the really nerdy things I like to do. I was definitely not a catch. I also decided that this guy is pretty cute and decided to ask him out on a date for my birthday. We went to the mall and at the end of our date, I kissed him in the Manchester Community College parking lot, jumped in the care, and drove away as fast I could. The rest as they say, is history. Once I learned to stop running I realized I had found a truly amazing guy, someone who lifts me up when I can't do so, one who knows what compromise and sacrifice is like, and one who has helped me to create a beautiful family for the both us.
Bryan always said he would make me wait ten years before he proposed, I always thought to myself, ok he must be joking! Turns out ht wasn't. I was still working at the Air Museum the night he proposed which also happened to be our anniversary. I did't necessarily care, since I figured nothing special was going to be happening. I made plans to have some co workers come over after the meeting. Bryan told me he would be out at a friend's house. When we came homeMy co workers were already in the kitchen and Bryan came to give me my anniversary present which was a keychain. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement...I WAS disappointed till he got down on one knee and pulled out the ring. My co workers had been in on the whole thing. I immediately said yes, closely followed by "Why didn't you clean the kitchen before you proposed?" Priorities have always been a big part of our relationship!
We are so excited to be celebrating our wedding with friends and family in the beautiful town of New Milford, CT! It is a place we as a couple love, and holds a special place in our hearts and we cannot wait to share our special say with all of you!
