What is the wedding attire?

Answer

Our hope is that we will experience typical Virginia weather in June - sunny and warm, but not too hot! Our ceremony and reception will be mainly outdoors, with dinner on a tented terrace, so we recommend dressy causal or cocktail attire. There will be some activities on the front lawn, so we suggest that ladies wear flats or wedges to avoid sticking in the grass!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the wedding venue?

Answer

There will be a complimentary shuttle available from and to The Lorien. The Alexandrian is just a short walk away. SHUTTLE INFORMATION Pickup from The Lorien: 4:15PM (Departs at 4:30PM) Pickup from Carlyle House: 10:45PM (Departs at 11:00PM)

We'll be staying at The Lorien Saturday night, so let us know if you'll be there too!
