Eastern Market
Fun Fact: Hilary's Grandfather, Papa Fred, was a butcher in the Eastern Market. Vendors sell everything from tacos to colorful produce every Saturday. Sundays it is packed with local jewelers and artists. Hip cafes and places serving classic Coney Island hot dogs dot the district whose warehouses are being revitalized with murals. There is live jazz and Motown music at relaxed Bert’s Warehouse Theatre.
The Belt
Named for its physical orientation in a former downtown garment district, The Belt is a culturally redefined alley in the heart of downtown Detroit. You'll find beautiful street art and open air bars throughout the alley.

Buddy's Pizza
Detroit-Style Pizza has a crispy crust thanks to the unconventional pans used for cooking. Once used as parts trays by Detroit's auto manufacturers, the square-shaped pans are made from steel. Fun Fact: Hilary's first job was at the Farmington Hills location of Buddy's Pizza. Order pizza (Gourmet Vegetarian or Pepperoni-on-top), Minestrone Soup, and Antipasto Salad.
