How We Met

2.15.2023

We met at Saddleback Church's on campus small group study and built a friendship on the foundation of our faith. After attending the month-long study together, Bryan started a small group at his house where we met regularly on a weekly basis and got to know one another even better. As we spent more time at events both inside and outside of church, we were able to see each others character and values that gave us the confidence to build a Christ-Centered relationship.

The Proposal

8.7.2023

We went on our first trip together to Italy where we enjoyed exploring, tasting, and learning about the culture of Italy. One of the first places we would visit was Cinque Terre, a village of 5 towns that overlook the Ligurian coast in Italy. Bryan had planned on proposing in the town of Rio Maggiore which is famous for its Via dell'Amore: "Pathway of Love." Having been there before Bryan knew on the cliffs overlooking the ocean would be the perfect spot to ask. Diana was overwhelmed with excitement and happily accepted Bryan's proposal.

The Ring

From Dream to Creation

Bryan is a third generation jeweler and sculptor that has been crafting works of art since childhood. Creating Diana's ring was going to be a special project for him. He requested her input on the design so that he could create the "ring of her dreams." With this knowledge in hand he got to work designing the ring using computer models to construct the ring. Sourcing out the perfect cushion shaped diamond was a critical component in making her ring stand out. Being an expert gemologist he was able to decipher the perfect diamond. Once the ring had been drawn in the computer model he printed the ring in resin to cast. Diana had only seen the model and from then on she didn't know what the actual ring would look like until he proposed. Setting the diamonds on the hidden halo was something unique and special that Bryan took time to make her ring personal to what she liked. Once he finished setting all the diamonds and polishing the ring he hid it for weeks and even during the trip to Italy waiting for the perfect time to present this beautifully crafted ring to the love of his life.
