We both had just graduated high school and were attending UC's College of Business orientation where we ended up getting placed in the same focus group. Bryan approached me after introducing ourselves using alliteration to the group – Bashful Bryan and Cheesy Chelsey. We stuck together through the weekend and became immediate friends and scheduled nearly every class together. Two years later, what started as a strong friendship grew into a stronger relationship. We knew from the moment we became official – this is it.
Back to TUC – the building where we first met. For weeks I thought we were planning to attend Bryan’s alumni baseball banquet at UC’s university center. He went into just enough detail about the event that I wouldn’t be suspicious. We were walking through campus and I noticed Bryan’s palms were sweaty – weird but didn’t think anything of it. The campus was dead, I mean dead. I pointed it out and figured we would be running into someone from the team by now. As we start walking up the steps, Bryan pulls me back. I turn around to him on one knee. I immediately say yes and turn back around to our families coming out of the building. Bryan’s cousin, Stephanie, was there to capture it all on camera.
