What's the weather in Florida expected to be on Feb 25th?

Beautiful!!!! The high is generally mid 70's and lows around 65°F. Generally there are 0 inches of rain and 76% humidity.

Do you have a hotel block?

Answer

We do not have a hotel block. Several family members are staying downtown at the Aloft hotel. There are many Air BnB's and VRBOs near the water. Search for Lido key, Longboat Key and Siesta Key for the homes closest to the beach! We do not have a hotel block, but we will be staying in downtown Sarasota at the Art Ovation hotel and you're welcome to stay there as well! There are many hotel options downtown, on Lido Key, Longboat Key, Siesta Key, off Fruitville Road, off University Pkwy or near the airport.

Is the buffet dinner "All you can eat?"

Answer

No. The caterer is bringing enough for every guest to have a standard dinner-sized portion.

Is there an open bar?

Answer

Of course! It's our gift to you for coming to celebrate with us! There will be a tip jar for your bartender for you to show any extra appreciation for your cocktails. There will also be self-serve beer, wine, seltzers and sodas in a cooler for you to enjoy.

Is the wedding inside or outside?

Answer

Both! The ceremony will be outside with dinner and dancing inside. Bring your dancing shoes, we're going to boogie! Outside, there will also be lawn games to play, high top tables to rest your drinks on and comfortable lounge seating for you to enjoy as well.

Is smoking allowed?

Strictly in the parking lot ONLY!

What should I wear?!

Answer

Cocktail party attire. No jeans. Fun ties and dancing shoes are encouraged! You may want to avoid pointy stiletto heels which will get stuck in the grass.

Arrival & Departure?

Answer

While we recommend using a ride service such as Uber, Lyft or carpooling, South Gate Community Center does allow you to leave your vehicle overnight if you end up having too much fun with us! Please don't drink and drive; we love you too much!

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We are unable to accommodate plus ones unless it is specifically indicated on your invitation. When you go to RSVP you will be able to see the exact number of people you can RSVP for.

Are there dietary options for guests with food allergies or restrictions?

Answer

We are pleased to be providing DELICIOUS gluten free and vegan options from our amazing caterer, Florence and the Spice Boys!
