Question

What the heck should I wear?

Answer

For the the Ceremony and Reception - Summer Cocktail Attire. Guys, no sneakers or jeans, but leave the tie at home. For the Welcome Party - Dressy Casual. No flip flops or swimsuits, but nice shorts and sundresses are totally acceptable. The Sunday brunch is casual - just try to make it there in one piece. Bonus points if you wear your reception outfit after sleeping in it.

Question

Whats the weather going to be like?

Answer

While there are no guarantees, you should expect low 80s with a bit of humidity during the day, high 60s at night. There may be a few quick showers, but Wailea does not get much rain. Bring sunscreen (I'm looking at you KTL)!

Question

How do I get around?

Answer

Shuttles will be provided from the Fairmont to the Ceremony, and from the Ceremony to the After Party. The After Party is only a few minute walk from the Fairmont - walking or taxis/Uber is the way to go. For all other events as well as day-to-day travel around Maui, we recommend taxis and Ubers, which are prevalent on the island. If you are staying at the Fairmont, there is a courtesy shuttle for short trips in and around the Wailea area. If you are interested in longer day trips around the island, a rental car is best.

Question

If I promise he/she will behave, can I bring my child to the ceremony/reception?

Answer

We know your baby/toddler/child is by FAR the cutest and best behaved baby/toddler/child out of all of our friends' and family's babies/toddlers/children, however the ceremony and reception are grown-up affairs. See the Child Care FAQ for details about nanny services.

Question

Are nanny/childcare services available?

Answer

Yes! Since we know nothing about children, see below from the Fairmont: Nanny Connection and Maui Nannies are both very reputable babysitting companies on the island. You may contact them directly at the numbers provided below. They will require that your provide them with dates and times you require, first and last names of each child, their age, and any special needs or requests along with your credit card details and email. Nanny Connection | 808-875-4777 | www.thenannyconnection.com Maui Nannies | 808-321-7663 | www.mauinannies.com For children ages 5 to 12, there is also Keiki Lani Kids Club at the Fairmont. Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have reserved a room block at the Fairmont Kea Lani with discounted rates. Although there are plenty of great options in Wailea, we will be staying at the Fairmont, and you should too! Note that as of December the hotel has just about filled up. If you need help with accommodations, reach out to Bryan.
