Bryan & Beth first met in 2020, and got to know one other running up Green Mountain and enjoying beers at local Kitsap breweries. Fast forward a year, and fate – or perhaps family encouragement, depending on who you ask – brought Bryan back into Beth's life, conveniently right as she was in the market for a new truck. Over beers at Silver City, Bryan shared his expertise, Beth joined the F-150 family, and their relationship rekindled. They started getting together for game nights; each round of Cribbage, Uno, or Catan revealed new aspects of one another's personality (some creative and problem solving, some stubborn and competitive). Evening hikes were cherished, and Bryan's butter chicken and homemade meat sauce were meals to remember. Eventually, Bryan even took Beth at her word that they were, in fact, dating. From there, the only slowdown was the matter of introducing Lief and Haggis. While the dogs weren't instant friends, they’ve learned to tolerate one another, and these two humans and two dogs became a family. So here we are, always ready for adventure, and we can't wait to see where this next chapter will take us!
Bryan was insistent. We had to go on a big overlanding trip for Memorial Day week, even though Beth was concerned about missing so much work during a summer with a lot going on. But she had a hunch on his intent, and agreed to go at the urging of a coworker who reminded her that life comes first. Five days into an incredible 10 day camping trip, 60 miles down gravel roads, hours from even a small town, with the most beautiful cove ahead of us, we cooked a delicious dinner and watched the sunset, constantly reiterating just how perfect this spot was. The next morning we went for a hike to an even more remote area of the cove. Coming out of the forest to a gorgeous scene of water and rocks, Bryan was ready to propose. But Beth, newly able to move freely and without worry post-sprained ankle, was practically bounding from rock to rock until she climbed up on a downed tree. So Bryan scurried up after her, and managed to surprise her with the question! Over a bottle of Sphera wine and some kettle corn popcorn, we celebrated our love and our future, and now we can’t wait to share this next part of the journey with you!
