We originally met at Golds Gym in Des Moines, IA, but never said a word to each other until one January evening in Johnny's Hall of Fame where, clearly, true love is found. Alyx was at a wedding that evening and went out downtown Des Moines afterwards in a formal floor-length black dress. Bryan had been awake for 30+ hours because he pushed snowed the night before and watched football with friends in Johnnys since 11am. This is when Alyx walked up to Bryan and sparks began.

The weekend after the couple got back from Iowa, they went to their favorite restaurant, Whiskey Cake, and then went to a favorite cocktail bar, George's Keep. When they arrived at home that evening, Bryan got on one knee and asked Alyx to marry him! She responded, "YES" with squealing to follow, along with Sasha howling! Of course the ring wasn't ready when they traveled home to Iowa the weekend before when he had initially planned to propose, but everything was perfect! Bryan and Alyx are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See y'all in Texas!
