Hotel
The closest hotel to the reception!
Hotel
Our favorite place for a stay-cation! Located right next to the Washington Monument in Mount Vernon, and close to the Peabody Institute. This place also features a speakeasy, a rooftop bar/restaurant, and a breakfast cafe.
Hotel
Unique hotel option that B-riz added because it caught his designer eye! This hotel is also in Historical Mt Vernon, within walking distance of the Washington Monument and close to the Hotel Revival. AND, this hotel is very close to Penn Station. If you plan on taking the MARC train, or arriving via Amtrak at Penn Station, you can walk to your hotel!
Hotel
We thought about getting married here, but an outdoor wedding would have had too much highway noise. That being said, this hotel is very close to I-83 and has a very historical feel. You'll love the cobblestone street out front.
Hotel
You can't go wrong with a Hampton Inn! Towson is a cool place, if you're not feeling like dealing with city traffic.
Hotel
The Dames always stayed here when visiting Amanda during grad-school! Features a beautiful and spacious restaurant/bar, and right near the Walters Art Museum (free admission). If you stay here, we also recommend checking out the newly renovated Pratt Library!
Hotel
Again, you can't go wrong with a Hampton Inn. But this one has a gorgeous downtown/harbor view!
Train
We've taken the light rail many times to venture downtown and it's a fairly pleasant ride through the city. The light rail also has a station located at the airport that can take you into Baltimore (about 45min ride). Did we mention that there's also a station stop right at the reception!?? This means depending where you stay, you could take the light rail to and from the reception. And even ride the light rail after a short walk from our ceremony.
Flight
The most convenient airport to fly domestically/internationally into Baltimore is BWI. It’s only a short car ride from the city. There are also several commuter options to get from the airport to the city including the MARC train and MTA Light Rail! You can catch a Lyft/Uber as well.
Train
We've taken the MARC train to get to Washington, DC. It's a great option for commuting to and from either the BWI airport or the Washington National Airport (DCA) and stopping at Penn Station in Baltimore.
Travel Note
Baltimore's free bus system! Download the transit app for most accurate arrival times.
