It's hard to believe it's been ten years since Julia & I first met as coworkers in a little cafe in Pittsburgh, when we were both attending Pitt for our undergrad. We instantly connected over our shared interest in studying the Spanish language, as well as our love for good food, travel, and all things pop culture. Over the last decade, we've been there to support one another throughout many of life's experiences and changes. Our friendship has strengthened and evolved along with us. It was the third grade, the summer was hot, and my parents got one of those terrible above ground pools. I must have mentioned it sometime at school and before I knew it Bryan and Danny were coming over with swimsuits. That was it basically, we have been best friends ever since even though I don't have a pool anymore.

My friendship with Julia started in Charlottesville, VA on Bumble BFF! We were supposed to get together to work out, but discovered our love for makeup was more important and kept us inseparable. I met Bryan when he came to visit Danny at College. There was something familiar about his face that assured me we would be fast friends. It wasn’t until I met Dre that I realized he was only hanging out with me to get invited to my pool. Bryan is the best storyteller I know and I am excited to hear him recount all the great experiences he and Julia will have together in this world. Ps. He’s also the worst at Smash Bros 64.

I have been friends with Julia for over 5 years, and even met up with Julia after her first date with Bryan, so I have been able to see the excitement Julia had about Bryan early on. Julia came into my life unexpectedly. Growing up without sisters I never expected I'd one day gain one...and I truly never imagined I'd cherish her as much as I do Julia. From our many, many, MANY double dates to our girls nights, I've gotten to know Julia and learned that she has the biggest heart, the best sense of humor, and of course, is the best plant mom around. Bryan and I first met as opponents across the now infamous beer pong tables in college. He was only a freshman but had an unearned confidence that reminded me of myself when I was his age. Of course I had to snatch that confidence from him in a victory that was a little too close for my liking. It’s that same confidence that made me know that I wanted him to be my little brother in the fraternity. That same confidence makes him one of the strongest yet nicest guys I know, and will make him an amazing husband for Julia. I’m excited to see the life that these two will create together.
