Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! Our wedding is black-tie optional. This means we would prefer for guests to be in black-tie and gowns, but it's not required. Dark formal suits (black, dark grey or navy) and floor length or maxi dresses are also appropriate. We just want to see all of our favorite people get dressed up for our big day. If you are confused on what black-tie optional entails, feel free to reach out to the bride and groom.

Will there be shuttle transportation to the venue?

Answer

Yes, there will be shuttles to bring guests to The Grandview. However, there will only be shuttles from The Heartwood at Vasser and Homewood Suites by Hilton Poughkeepsie where we have room blocks held. Anyone staying at a hotel not where our room blocks are will need to find their own transportation to the venue or travel to one of the hotels listed above to catch a shuttle. Please reference the shuttle schedule to and from the venue below. What time should I arrive?

Answer

If you are not taking one of our shuttles and driving or taking an uber, please ensure you arrive to The Grandview between 4:30-4:45pm as the ceremony will start promptly at 5pm.

Are children welcome?

Answer

As much as we love seeing your little one's, our wedding is exclusively for adults, with the exception of immediate family who are in the wedding.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to space, we can only accommodate guests who are formally invited. If you've received a plus one, they'll be specifically addressed on your invitation. Otherwise, we ask that only the named people on the invitation are in attendance. We appreciate you understanding!

Is the wedding outside?

Answer

Yes! As the sun is shining (keep your fingers crossed) we will be saying “I do” during a fully outdoor ceremony. The cocktail hour and reception are in a covered tent where there will be AC and options for guests to go outside to lounge and sip as they wish. Please make sure to dress appropriately and keep hydrated throughout the day.

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, The Grandview has a large parking lot right outside the venue. There will be valet parking to accommodate your vehicle.
