We met on Hinge with the famous message of "Go Gators," which is a phrase every Gator fan has said hundreds of times. This time, it meant a little bit more. We went on our first date at the Washington Duke Hotel in Durham, North Carolina - just a morning stroll, drinking coffee and getting to know each other. At the end of our first date, we scheduled another and another. The rest, they say, is history.
After a Saturday clinic day, Chris had recommended we head to Payson for a camping weekend, which was not out of the ordinary. He insisted on arriving before sunset, which was a little bit of a time crunch. After hauling the trailer two hours uphill and hearing me complain about my headache during the entire drive, Chris kept his spirits alive. We finally arrived to our destination, a steep cliff overlooking a perfect sunset view. Chris kindly suggested I change out of my scrubs for a sunset picture, which I am very grateful for in hindsight. It was at that perfect location where he proposed. Although he had few words when he was on one knee, he spilled all the plans he had made in private - the Phoenix pool party, the day off to celebrate, the family reunion festivities.
