This is one of our must-visits in the city. Get a Philly Cheesesteak, or visit DiNic's (Rich's favorite!) for the best roast pork sandwich you'll ever have! (The line will probably be long but goes quickly!) Visit The Amish Bakery for some great sweets or head over to Fox & Sons to find Katie's favorite cheese curds! Only a ten minute walk from both hotels.
Explore all of your National Treasure dreams here! So much history to see. You'll find Ben Franklin's grave, Betsy Ross's house, the Liberty Bell & museums galore. Walk on over to Old City and see the Ice Rink at Penn's Landing where Rich had grand plans to propose until the rain came and had other plans! This area will always have a special place in our hearts!
The Philadelphia Zoo is considered the first "true" zoo in the United States. It's home to nearly 1,300 animals, many rare and endangered. This particular zoo is unique because of it's system called Zoo360, which is a travel and exploration system for the animals to get around, swinging or walking right above visitors!
Rittenhouse Square presents a relaxing spot where visitors and locals gather for picnics, sun-bathing, or just to take a stroll amid the trees, manicured lawns and sculptures. Named for astronomer and clockmaker David Rittenhouse, the family-friendly park remains one of the most lovely and peaceful spots in which to paint, read, relax on a park bench or catch-up with friends. Just a 5 minute walk from the hotels, sure to be gorgeous at the end of October.
