We´re getting married!

12/28/2019 - Erika and José met for coffee. José waited patiently for Erika outside of Café Calabria. Little did he know Erika would be testing his patience a few more times since then. After the coffee date extended to a lunch date, José walked Erika back to her car and noticed her dented bumper. In true José fashion, his generosity came out and he told Erika he was happy to make some fixes to her car. Erika immediately called her mom on the drive home and told her this guy sounded promising. Fast forward through a pandemic, blending their families, Erika starting a new career while completing graduate school, and wading through the regular ups and downs of a relationship. 11/09/2023 - They had talked about taking the leap and José decided this was the day. José reminisced on the trip they took to Julian a few years back. They had taken a photo that represented what Erika and José wanted all along, a family. No more second guessing or trying to find the right moment, as the feelings were there and the future was clear. In the comfort of home, at the last hour, José confidently got down on one knee and asked Erika to marry him. Through many tears, Erika said yes! And so their love story continues…
