They met at a first birthday party—though despite being in the same room, Andrew didn’t say a word to Maddy. Instead, he asked the host who she was, got her number, and shortly after invited her out for “drinks and apps.” On July 14, 2023, Andrew picked Maddy up for what was supposed to be a casual first date. They started with drinks and apps by the water at Blu which turned into dinner. They had espresso martinis at Main Street Coffee, and ended the night realizing they didn’t want it to end at all. The two even sent a photo from that very first date to the people who set them up, letting them know they were having the best time. Their family and friends still joke it was the longest first date ever—and honestly, they’re not wrong. From that day on, their date never really ended. They were completely obsessed with each other, effortlessly integrating into every part of one another’s lives. July 14, 2023 truly became the day their worlds became one. On July 19 2025, Andrew proposed at Maddy's parents’ house on the beach—our favorite place and the setting where so many of our best memories live. They are beyond excited to celebrate their wedding in Newport, a place that has always held special meaning for them. While Maddy grew up living in RI, Newport is where Andrew spent summers vacationing with his family as a child. Making Newport feel both nostalgic and deeply personal.
