Love At First Swipe

The day was September 28th, 2023 and I was causally scrolling on Hinge (I know we wish it was a cooler way to meet as well) and I saw Bruno Frank and my first thought was “Wow he's cute,” but I wasn't looking for anything serious/wasn’t ready to date. So, I swiped left (which means I denied him) and not even an hour or two later I see in my messages on Hinge the one and only, Bruno Frank. Naturally I thought it was fate, so I decided to message him back and I swear once I did, we never stopped. Now fast forward to October 17th, 2023. Not only was this Halloween weekend at Ohio University but it was also the first time we met in person. To say we were both nervous is an understatement. I was nervous because why was I trusting this total stranger to stay in a house full of girls for the weekend, and he was nervous because he drove 2 hours and was just hoping it would work out. One important thing to note is that me and my roommate Amanda were dressing up as Thor and Loki from Ragnarök (now if you don't know this movie, he basically has two red strips going down his face, I know great first impression). I did try my best to not have this weird makeup on when we first met, but naturally Bruno was running just a little bit behind. So of course I answer the door in full blown Thor makeup. It was of course awkward at first with me and all my roommates having to finish getting ready while poor Bruno sat in my living room/bedroom area just waiting for our night to begin. But once we started talking we just never stopped (other than having to film a TikTok I mean obviously). No matter where we went or what we did it felt like we were in our own bubble the entire night, now I won’t bore you with the whole night out, but it was a blast. The next day the conversation still hadn’t even started to slow down, we talked about anything and everything, our childhoods, all the things we’ve been through, what we want to achieve in this life, and what our future together could look like. It flowed so easily we felt like we had known each other our whole lives and that’s how we knew we had something different. Now almost three years later, we still haven’t run out of things to talk about and we get to spend the rest of our lives together just how we planned it from the beginning
