-Passports are a MUST! Bringing a second form of ID is also always a good idea. -Sunscreen!!! Lots and lots and lots of sunscreen. -Sunglasses, hats, swimsuits, watershoes, etc. -Temperature in November is usually around 70-80F, so Texans may need a light jacket at times. ;) -Most places accept credit card, but it’s always a good plan to have cash (we recommend $1’s so you can tip bartenders/housekeeping/etc. if you would like). -The resort has things like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, but we like bringing our own.

-Mobile Passport Control (MPC) is a great app that makes customs so much easier for the return trip! It lets you scan your passport and answer the documentation questions on your phone, and you just submit it once you land in the USA! Head to customs within 2 hours of submitting and skip the longer lines. -Most phone plans include service in Mexico, but the reception can be spotty at times; the Barceló has Wi-Fi included, so using an internet-based messenger app sometimes works better for contacting people -Although the water is filtered in the rooms, we recommend using the free water bottles to brush your teeth out of an abundance of precaution… No one wants diarrhea during a party.
