Question

Is there parking?

Answer

Yes- there is plenty of parking at the resort, with an overflow lot just next to it. If you are having any trouble finding parking, let the gate attendant know and they will show you where to park.

How is the cell phone service?

Answer

The cell phone service in and around the resort is almost non-existent. However, the resort and most of the airbnbs have an excellent wifi connection. Be sure to connect to the wifi so you can send/receive messages and make calls. If you are using a maps app on your phone to get somewhere, we recommend turning it on while you're still connected to the wifi.

My check-in time is not until the ceremony starts, what should I do?

Answer

Unfortunately many of the airbnb's have a 4:00pm check-in time which is the same time the ceremony starts. Many airbnb/vrbos will allow a slightly earlier check-in if you inquire. If you need a place to hang out before the ceremony, you can grab a drink at Legends On The Lake. Legends is the resort restaurant and bar located just above the reception space. It has drinks, hot food, pool tables, and bathrooms. If you need a place to hang out or get ready before the ceremony, please don't hesitate to let us know. We have several airbnb's in the area and can absolutely give you a space to go! All we ask is that you reach out before the wedding day so we give you an option ahead of time.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 4:00pm. You can arrive anytime between 3:30pm and 4:00pm. If you are early, you can grab a drink at Legends On The Lake, the resort restaurant located just above The Terrace. Legends also has food, bathrooms, and pool tables.

Is the wedding outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony is outdoors at the Gazebo (weather permitting.) The Cocktail Hour and Reception are at The Terrace, which is a covered space with heaters and side walls if raining.

How far is the ceremony from the cocktail hour/reception?

Answer

The ceremony space (gazebo) is about 50 yards from The Terrace where the cocktail hour and reception are being held.

What is the wedding timeline?

Answer

Ceremony- 4:00pm-4:30pm Cocktail Hour- 4:30pm-5:30pm Reception- 5:30pm-10:00pm

What if it's raining?

Answer

If it's raining the ceremony will be held in the reception space (The Terrace at Rumbling Bald Resort.) This space is covered with heaters, and has side walls if needed for inclement weather.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! We will be having an open bar with beer and wine. We will also have water, coffee, and sodas. If you prefer a different alcoholic beverage, you can sneak upstairs to the restaurant (Legends) and order something there....on your own tab of course ;)

Are there any other events during the wedding weekend?

Answer

Yes! We are having a casual welcome party on Thursday night as well as a drop-in breakfast the morning after. Go to "Schedule" above on our site for more details. If you're staying through Saturday, please let us know as we would love to spend more time with you.

What transportation options are there?

Answer

Unfortunately there are NO taxis/ubers/lyfts in the area. Please be sure to stay somewhere close to the resort and have a plan to get there after the wedding. If you do not have a safe option to get back to where you're staying, please let one of the groomsmen/bridesmaids know so we can help get you home safely!

Can I leave my car parked overnight?

Answer

Yes- if you are parked in the resort parking lot or overflow lot, you can leave your car there until the next day.

Do I need a pass to enjoy the resort amenities?

Answer

Yes. Most rentals in the area include passes for the resort with the rental. The resort is private, so you will need these passes to enjoy the beach, mini golf, spa, etc. You do NOT need a pass to attend the wedding.

Where is the nearest grocery store?

Answer

We recommend Ingles, which is about a 16 minute drive from the resort. If you don't need much, there is also the Apple Valley Market which is a gas station with quite a few grocery items. The Apple Valley Market is open from 8am to 8pm and is about a mile from the resort.
