To Forever

Bruna and Sam first met at work over 3 years ago. But they had no idea of what was going to happen. For about a year they didn't really talk, as Sam was focused on school and work and Bruna was focused on tennis and school. Then came the Fall semester of 2023, when Bruna and Sam had a class together. Since they were working and going to class together, God said to Sam: "I cannot make this easier for you, now make your move." Sam took his time and wanted to get to know Bruna as a friend before trying anything, so he decided to start paving the way, one brick at a time. It all started with a simple school project, in which Sam asked Bruna to be his video subject. That led into them sitting together in class (big step for Sam)! As well as sitting together, they were also working together. Sam was a camera guy for the entire football season and Bruna was a utility (person that follows camera guy with a cable). Seeing this situation, Sam had a thought. Sam liked Bruna, so between him, Kirby, Julie, Andrew, and John, they always managed to make Bruna to be Sam's utility for every game of that football season. Bruna thought this was always an accident or coincidence, but it had always been orchestrated. Through much work and sitting together in class (sorry Steve, they did not pay much attention), Bruna and Sam got closer and closer, and started doing homework together and hanging out outside of school. Then came Thanksgiving break! Bruna wanted to go to 2 hockey games in Raleigh, and when she mentioned this to Sam, he casually dropped the phrase "just come over for the whole week, my parents live 30 minutes from the arena and you get real food for Thanksgiving." While she considered the offer, Sam texted his dad: "Hey can I bring a friend for thanksgiving week?" Dad: "Sure, of course!" *2 weeks later* Sam: "Does the answer change if it's a girl?" Dad: "A GIRL????" From then on, Sam thought his Thanksgiving break was going to be a nightmare, with his siblings torturing him because he brought a girl home. At this point, Bruna still thought that Sam was just a good friend of hers (while Sam was head over heels for her) Then, Thanksgiving happens! Sam's siblings were more than welcoming towards Bruna, and so were his parents, and everyone had an amazing time. After Thanksgiving Break, there was an inevitable conversation that they both knew was coming, but neither knew how to address it. So as the smart man he is (not really), Sam decides to have this conversation right after doing homework with Bruna: Sam: "So, I like you, do you like me?" Bruna: "Yes." Sam: "Now what?" Bruna: "I don't know" And that was the start of it. Since Bruna was leaving for Brazil in about 2 weeks, neither of them wanted to date for 2 weeks, and then do 1 month of long distance. So they both agreed to wait until she came back from Brazil to start dating. And that is exactly what happened. The day Bruna got back, Sam couldn't wait any longer and he asked her to be his girlfriend. They have lived happily ever after since and can't wait to take this next step together!
