Bruna and Kamron's story begins over a decade ago when they both made the decision to study abroad their junior year at UC Davis. Through immersion in a new culture, living with host families, learning in a different language, and many gin and tonics, a beautiful friendship was formed! Though Kamron secretly hoped for more...

Bruna and Kamron returned to Davis after their time in Madrid and experienced the inevitable post-study-abroad-slump. For the first few months, they got together with other study abroad friends and attempted to recreate the moments they had abroad. While they could not recapture the magic of Madrid, there was something else brewing beneath the surface between these two. Big hangouts with the Madrid crew soon turned into one on one moments between these two "friends". Slowly but surely, something deeper was forming. Kamron finally worked up the courage to profess his feelings, and the rest is history...

In the years post graduating from UC Davis, Bruna and Kamron discovered their shared love for travel! They went to Puerto Vallarta, Toronto, Miami, Playa Del Carmen, Fortaleza, and Rio de Janeiro, and even went back to the city where they first met, Madrid, to re-experience it as a couple. This trip was extra special as Kamron found out that he got accepted to the UC Davis School of Medicine!!! After their 40-day trip to Spain, they returned to the U.S., packed up all of their stuff, and moved into their first apartment together in Sacramento, CA.

While in Sacramento, Kamron pursued his dream of becoming a doctor while Bruna found her passion in School Psychology! They both tackled graduate school together, and shortly into their first year of living together, the pandemic hit. Through the lockdown, their love spread even deeper, like a rabid virus <3

Bruna and Kamron finished out grad school on a high note, graduating in the same year and Kamron finding out that he matched for residency at UCSF to continue his training in anesthesiology! Most importantly, this meant that they would be heading back to the bay area and closer to their friends and family! It felt extra serendipitous to be returning to San Francisco after several years away...

In April of 2024, Bruna and Kamron planned a trip to Spain over Bruna's Spring Break to attend her goddaughter's baptism. Little did she know that Kamron had developed an elaborate plan to propose to her in the city they first met. On the morning after they arrived, Kamron dragged a jet-lagged Bruna to Parque del Buen Retiro for a stroll. She begged him to let her sit for a bit because she was tired, but he insisted that they keep walking. Eventually, they found a quiet bench overlooking a fountain and took that much-needed seat. Before Bruna could figure out what was going on, Kamron was on one knee in front of her asking for her hand in marriage. Bruna said yes (of course) and went on to ask a million and one questions about how he could have pulled all of this off! After 10 minutes of Kamron dodging her questions, Bruna's parents turned the corner to surprise her. I'm sure you can imagine the waterworks! Needless to say, Kamron pulled off the most thoughtful proposal Bruna could have ever imagined!
