The first time Hannah and Alexis met was on a cold winter night, January 17th, at a church social event hosted at a local bar. It didn’t take long before Alexis came over and introduced himself. They spent the evening talking and laughing together, and from that night on, something just clicked. A few weeks later, on February 13th, they crossed paths again after adoration at Saint Mary Cathedral. This time, Hannah noticed Alexis socializing afterward and went over to say hello — and introduce her brother. Then, on March 1st, they met again after a kickball game in Zilker Park. They joined a group of friends for dinner, where Hannah invited Alexis to a Mardi Gras party and promised him one of her signature strawberry margaritas. What she didn’t know was that Alexis had injured his ankle earlier that morning and had gone to the emergency room shortly after her invitation. Still, he knew she was something special, so he decided to go to the party anyway, bad ankle and all. When he arrived, Hannah greeted him with a big smile and the promised strawberry margarita. Despite the injury, Alexis pulled Hannah onto the dance floor, and together they hobbled (and danced) the night away. At the end of the night, he asked her out on their first official date — the first of many that would lead all the way to their wedding day. Now, they look forward to entering the covenant of love together, and like their love story, they hope to share many more dances — this time, with no sprained ankles.
