Flight

Getting there

There are a few easy ways to travel to Siena. The journey typically takes between 2.5-3 hours depending on your route. By train from Rome: If you are arriving into Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO), follow signs to the Leonardo Express train, which brings you directly to Roma Termini (Rome’s main train station) in about 30 minutes. From Roma Termini, you will need to take a high-speed train (Frecciarossa) to Firenze S.M. Novella (Florence). From Florence you will transfer to a regional train (Regionale) to Siena. Upon arrival at the Siena train station, a short taxi ride (approximately 10–15 minutes) will bring you to the villa. By train from Florence: Florence Airport (FLR) is a smaller regional airport, so it does not typically have direct long-haul flights from the U.S. Most guests traveling from the U.S. will need to connect through a major European city. From there, they will take a short connecting flight into Florence. If flying into Florence you can take a taxi or tram (T2 Tram Line just outside of airport, get off at Unita stop and its a short walk) to the Firenze S. M. Novella Station. From there you will take the regionale train to Siena. By Private Car or Transfer: For a seamless, door-to-door experience, you can arrange for a private car service from Rome. This is a wonderful option for groups or those with lots of luggage. Rental car: Rental cars are available at all major airports and are a great option for guests looking to drive.
