I’ve never been to a gay wedding before, what should I expect?

Answer

Think regular wedding vibes: good food, bad dancing, and a lot of love. We know you care about us-that's why you're invited-but our day is also a celebration of our queer community, and there will be plenty of gay and queer folks fully being themselves. If you're only comfortable supporting our relationship but not other same-sex relationships or our community as a whole, we'd genuinely prefer you celebrate us from afar instead of attending. Our wedding is a space for love, respect, and zero tolerance for hate or disrespect.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 5PM. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ceremony to get settled.

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

To ensure we can accommodate all our beloved guests, only those explicitly named on your invitation are included. If you have a plus one your invitation will indicate it. Thank you for understanding!

We respectfully request no children at the event, allowing all of our guests to enjoy an adults-only evening.

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal. Please avoid jeans and other denim.

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes, we will have an open bar for all of our guests to enjoy complimentary drinks throughout the event. Unlike most Indiana weddings, our bar will stay open during dinner! We will also have frozen margaritas while supplies last.

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there will be parking available at the venue. The venue has assured us that cars will NOT be towed. If you drive to the event and decide to not drive afterwards, your car will be okay! Please don’t drink and drive.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request that guests use their best judgment during our brief ceremony. Please do block anyone’s view for a photo. We have professional photographers to capture every moment so we can unplug and enjoy. After the ceremony, please feel free to take all the pictures you’d like!
