In accordance to the governors latest updates regarding weddings in Connecticut during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are allowed to have up to 100 guests indoors and 200 outdoors. We have invited 100 of our closest friends and family and expect around 90 to be attending in-person.
Please be assured that your health and safety is our top priority! Guidelines and restrictions are changing constantly so please keep checking the website for updates as we hear from our venue coordinator. We have chosen to implement the following additional safety measures at our wedding: We will have multiple sanitizing stations set up around the venue, including upon arrival and in each bathroom. We have a detailed COVID-safe plan that has been approved by our venue. All wait staff and bar staff will be wearing masks and gloves. Our seating plan has been arranged to allow for enough space between each table, and we will try our best to group guests according to their families and household members.
The ceremony will be held outside in the garden and the reception will be held inside the Garden House, although everyone is welcome to mingle in the garden. So, final answer: a combo of inside & outside. A rain plan is still in the works so keep checking here for updated details.
Full suits of armor only. Just kidding. It's New England Garden attire so wear sundresses, floral prints, suits in lighter hues. Bonus points for fun hats and fascinators. The ceremony will be taking place on grass so stilettos may not be the best option. Ladies, bring out your wedges!
For those visiting from out of town, we'd like to let you in on a secret: New England weather is as confused as a pre-teen going through puberty. We don't know what exactly to expect, but ideally, it will be around 70-80 degrees and sunny.
Unfortunately, we do not have the facilities to house guests other than those who are listed on the invitation. We would be happy to celebrate with Uncle Bill and Tina the Llama at another time, though!
We are honored to have you all as witnesses to our vows and the beginning of our marriage. With this in mind, we invite you to be truly present with us and respectfully request that all cameras and phones be turned off during the ceremony. We look forward to sharing our professional photos after the big day!
After the ceremony, we will be taking our photos so you are welcome to enjoy cocktail hour. Once we're finished with photos, you'll be guided to enter the reception area to be seated for our entrance as Mr and Mrs!
Parking is free! Our venue will have a parking attendant who will be at your disposal to help you park in the right spot.
As the wise sage, Randy Jackson once said, "that's a no for me, dawg". While we love your children (and they will miss seeing Bruce's amazing dance moves), we would love for you to please get a sitter for the little ones.
Ok, Tessa here. I don't know if anyone else cares about this but a color palette is the way to my heart so here goes: sage green, blush pink, off white, and notes of gold. Just marvelous.
Yes and yes! Hors d'oeuvres will be served during cocktail hour (charcuterie cones, anyone?) and we have a wonderful New Haven pizza truck providing dinner. Delicious dessert options will be available along with libations - both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
Yes! We are planning on setting up a camera during the ceremony to livestream on Facebook and possibly also Instagram Live. Make sure you’re friends with Tessa and/or Bruce on Facebook and following us on IG!
We completely understand some of you may not be able to confirm your attendance until closer to the date, particularly those who are travelling. However, we will require your RSVP no later than May 1 in order to confirm numbers with our caterer and venue.
