We are excited about our wedding, and honored you are joining us. Our "destination wedding" to Utah in the mountains is almost here. Things to know and consider: Before you leave - double up on your water intake in advance of your trip. Altitude sickness is a real thing. We'll be at about 4,500 feet in Provo. You'll feel it. Keeping up with the water intake can help you adjust and to avoid that headache at least. Your stay in the Provo area: The Marriott in Utah is a large conference center. Some are staying at the Hyatt across the street. A few of you at Air bnb's. Hotel check in times are typically 3pm; please do check to know for sure. If you arrive early, you'll find that downtown Provo is very 'walkable'. What you're sure to notice: There are very few "bars" in the area. There are many restaurants. In Utah, you must be served food with your alcoholic beverage while at a bar in a restaurant. You'll see.

Friday evening The Welcome Reception - We are excited to see you at this scenic location. Friday at 7:30 at the Riverside Country Club in Provo, less than 3 miles from the hotel, at 2701 N University Avenue. This will be an indoor/outdoor event on their covered patio, with a fireplace overlooking the golf course. A fire pit and heat lamps in the open patio area, and an indoor room called the Timpanogos Room. Please join us for drinks and appetizers from 7:30-10:00 pm. Saturday Wedding Day: Ceremony at 3:30. Reception follows immediately, till 9:30. The ceremony and reception will take place at Quiet Meadow Farm, in Mapleton -- at 1805 E 1200 N -- about 20 minutes from Provo. Quiet Meadow Farm is privately owned and has a number of stipulations, especially with our request to add an hour to the reception time. - Guests MUST arrive on the Guest Buses (from the Marriott Hotel); no cars driven in. Yes, even for those staying outside the hotels; please plan to be at the Marriott to ride the bus to the Farm. - No alcohol may be brought in, in any manner - in cups, cans, bottles, boxes. The licensed vendors will serve your drinks, starting at the end of the ceremony.

As you arrive, you'll meet the goats in the pen nearby and enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings. 3:30 Ceremony in the apple orchard on the grass. The weather looks great for that day. Feel free to bring a jacket or a wrap if it's cooler than the 70 degrees we anticipate. 4:00 ish - The cocktail hour starts at the end of the Ceremony. Bars will be set up outside, on the patio of the barn. Hors d'oeuvres will be served. We'll do all our Special Dances here at this time, to get the party started. We'll all be dancing on that patio to the music of the DJ. 5:00 - The buffet dinner will be inside the barn, with open seating at long farm tables. Feel free to sit where you like, and please mingle with others. We're a group of about 90 people, family and friends. A selection of delicious choices are available, with thought given for various dietary needs and restrictions. Note that the large barn doors are usually kept open. Your jacket or wrap may come in handy as the evening cools.

6:57 is the time of the Sunset over The Mountains. Be outside earlier to catch its beauty. Outside there is the dance floor, a seating area, the goats, lawn games and fun. Note that the large barn doors are usually kept open. Your jacket or wrap may come in handy as the evening cools. You'll find an indoor fireplace inside for your comfort. No cake! We hope you'll enjoy the special sweet treats the chef will make for you all .... it's a surprise. The couple's final dance and celebration send-off is at 9:30 pm. We'll all board the buses back to the Marriott at 9:45 pm, from the Farm parking area. After the Wedding Reception: We've spoken to the hotel restaurant bar staff to expect our arrival at around 10 pm. We could not privately 'reserve' the area, as it is open to all hotel guests. Join us there! Sunday - we're looking into gathering as a group the Oktoberfest in Snowbird, known to be a good time. 12-6pm. More details to follow!
